Cohiba Piramides Extra

The Cohiba Piramides Extra is a towering masterpiece and the crown jewel of the brand's prestigious Línea Clásica portfolio. Introduced to global acclaim in 2012, it is the only regular-production Torpedo (Figurado) in the classic Cohiba line, offering an incredibly luxurious, concentrated, and perfectly balanced smoking experience.

## The Ultimate Cuban Torpedo

Measuring an impressive 6 1/4 inches with a thick 54 ring gauge, the Pirámides Extra vitola is a testament to the unparalleled skill of Cuba's elite master rollers. The elegantly tapered head not only highlights artisanal perfection but also concentrates the smoke, allowing the rich flavors to hit the palate with laser-like precision.

Like all Cohibas, the tobacco is exclusively sourced from the absolute best Vegas Finas de Primera in the Vuelta Abajo region. Uniquely, the Seco and Ligero filler leaves undergo Cohiba's highly guarded third fermentation process in wooden barrels. This painstaking technique completely eliminates harshness, providing the Piramides Extra with its signature, unmatchable buttery smoothness.

### Exquisite Complexity and Flawless Construction

From the first effortless draw, the Cohiba Piramides Extra delivers a deeply satisfying, creamy profile. It opens with luscious notes of sweet vanilla, toasted cedar, and roasted almonds.

As the cigar progresses into its thicker section, the flavor profile broadens magnificently. Smokers will discover rich layers of dark espresso, wild honey, and a refined, delicate white pepper spice that never overpowers the palate. Sitting at a perfect medium-to-full strength, this cigar offers a long, savory finish that defines ultimate luxury. It is a phenomenal celebratory smoke, pairing exceptionally well with a fine vintage Champagne, a premium aged Cognac, or a rare single malt scotch.

### FAQs

1. What makes the Piramides Extra different from other Cohibas?

Aside from its impressive size, it is the only regular production Figurado (Torpedo shape) in Cohiba's classic line. Furthermore, when it was released in 2012, it was the very first Cohiba to feature the now-standard, highly secure holographic cigar band.

2. How should I cut a Torpedo/Figurado cigar?

Because of the tapered head, you have ultimate control over the draw. We recommend using a sharp guillotine cutter to snip just the very tip (about 1/4 inch). If the draw is too tight, you can cut slightly further down until you reach your preferred airflow.

3. Is this a strong cigar?

The Cohiba Piramides Extra is classified as medium-to-full bodied. However, thanks to the exclusive triple-fermented tobacco, it smokes incredibly smoothly and elegantly, making it highly enjoyable without ever feeling overly aggressive.

For adults only (18+ or the legal age in your emirate). Smoking causes serious health problems.
